Richard Stark corresponded, often regularly, with people prominent in both public life and the art world. Most of the folders contain incoming letters to Dr. Stark. B. 2/f. 4 contains a letter to Lawrence S. Huntington outlining the terms of a donation of drawings given to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center by Stark. B.2/f.5 also contains out-going correspondence to Medical Librarian, later archivist of the St. Luke’s library, Dr. Nancy Panella, including the announcement of Dr. Stark’s death. Other notable names are: UN Secretary General Kurt Waldheim; US Surgeon General C. Everett Koop; US Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare John W. Gardner; Ambassador Henry Cabot Lodge; and the artists Will Barnet, Giesla Beker, Brown Hagood, Greta Kempton, and Joan and Rex Brandt.
