The Associated Alumni of The Mount Sinai Hospital was created in 1896. In March 1969 the group voted to admit graduates of the new Mount Sinai School of Medicine and so they changed their name to the Associated Alumni of The Mount Sinai Hospital and School of Medicine. This later became the Associated Alumni of The Mount Sinai Medical Center. The named was again changed in 1993 to the simpler Mount Sinai Alumni, Inc. The Alumni Board voted in October 2014 to dissolve the corporation, a move that was officially completed in April 2015. The Office of Alumni and Development was created in the Icahn School of Medicine to take over the function of the group. The name Mount Sinai Alumni Association is used in communications but is not a legal entity.
