This is a transcript of a sound recording of a meeting of the Mount Sinai Medical Center administration to discuss the previous year’s operation at The Mount Sinai Hospital and Mount Sinai School of Medicine. This tape was used to create the text for the Mount Sinai Annual Report for 1971. The speakers are: George James, MD, Dean & President; Gustave Levy, Chairman of our Board of Trustees; S. David Pomrinse, MD, Director of The Mount Sinai Hospital; Bernard Wolf, MD, Chairman of Radiology and President of the Medical Board; Hans Popper, MD, PhD, Dean of Academic Affairs at Mount Sinai School of Medicine; Alexander Gutman, MD, Chairman Emeritus of Medicine and Chairman of the Research Committee; and Kurt Deuschle, MD, Chairman of the Dept. of Community Medicine at Mount Sinai. They discuss hospital operations, research efforts, the School of Medicine, community programs and relations, costs of medical care, and the contributions of the School to the Hospital. Used in annual report.
