The Arthur H. Aufses, Jr., MD Archives houses historical collections from the hospitals within the Mount Sinai Health System in New York and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The hospitals represented in the collection are: The Mount Sinai Hospital, Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital, Mount Sinai Morningside, Mount Sinai West, Mount Sinai Queens, Mount Sinai Brooklyn, and the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai.
This catalog holds information about all of the Aufses Archives’ collections, across all formats, including paper records, photographs, artifacts, memorabilia, audio-visual materials, and digital records. Researchers are able to search for records by creator, description, subject, or other entrance points.
Please note, the Archives does not contain modern patient medical records. For information about obtaining those records, contact Medical Records.
Materials reflected in the Archives are historical. As such, they may contain language and references that are inappropriate, including racial or sexual stereotypes that are not consistent with the positions, norms, and values of the Mount Sinai Health System community. These have been retained in our online collections in order to fully represent the materials in their original context.
